(Kyoto Protocol: Target of reduction by minus 6% as compared with FY1990.)

Target of Kyoto Protocol:We achieved 12.5% reduction from 1990.

We are taking systematic actions such as the introduction of energy-saving facilities as measures for the reduction of CO2 emissions.
The volume of CO2 emissions was reduced in FY2011, but a worsening occurred in terms of specific productivity due to variations in production volume, etc.

Waste is more thoroughly segregated at source to recycle it as materials. (Tabulation started in 2004) Resin waste is being recycled as refuse paper & plastic fuel (RPF) in a planned style and a recycling ratio of more than 90% was accomplished in FY 2011.

We have achieved a high water expression and are contributing to the reduction of energy consumption volume in the paper manufacturing industry by supplying the combination package of the felt for paper making, the belt for shoe press and the transfer belt.
