(Kyoto Protocol: Target of reduction by minus 6% as compared with FY1990.)

Target of Kyoto Protocol:We achieved 16.6% reduction from 1990.

As CO2 reduction measures, installation of energy-saving equipment and other actions are staged. However, in fiscal year 2009, CO2 emissions were reduced due to a large change of production but the basic unit was worsened by installation of new equipment, etc.

We are promoting resource recovery/recycling through thorough separation of wastes. (Data gathering of the results have been in place since 2004.)
In fiscal year 2009, the year-on-year ratio is likely to be improved through RPF production from resin waste.

We have achieved a high water expression and are contributing to the reduction of energy consumption volume in the paper manufacturing industry by supplying the combination package of the felt for paper making, the belt for shoe press and the transfer belt.
