The 21st century is called a century of environment. It is an age of inevitable coexistence with the earth environment.
ICHIKAWA has established a corporate policy of environment and is devoting itself to environmental activities including its affiliates to create an environmentally favorable society and attain sustainable growth of the company.
Basic Policy
The management of the ICHIKAWA company, a major manufacturer of pulp and paper machinery, is committed to policies which help protect the environment and benefit society as a whole. The management and entire workforce are working in tandem to improve global efforts to preserve the environment while also aiming for sustainable development.

Action Directives
1 To abide by laws and regulations concerning the environment, voluntarily stipulate management standards as required and aim to prevent environmental pollution.
2 In all enterprise activities related to production, products and services, promote saving of energy and resources and the reduction of waste.
3 Whenever selecting, processing and utilizing materials during the design and development stage, evaluate their environmental impact beforehand where possible. Aim to produce products which both satisfy engineering and economical demands yet still preserve the environment to the best of our ability.
4 Reflect our striving for environmental improvements by establishing environmental objects and targets and attempting improvements wherever possible.
5 Inculcate an understanding and awareness of environmental policies in our employees and make them aware of the individual social obligation to promote and contribute to environmental protection.
Also, ensure all the associated group companies contribute to the promotion of environmental preservation.
