In combining our reputation for quality
with an even stronger focus on international research and development,
we began manufacturing a product whose global impact has been envisaged
since the first days of ICHIKAWA Co., Ltd  felt.
While Japanese paper mills compare favorably to international counterparts
in terms of expertise, the most advanced paper mills are in Europe
and North America. To benefit from such advancements, we proceeded
to establish a network of proprietary local entities and subsidiaries
around the world.
The bases for these efforts are Ichikawa North America Corp. (INAC), Ichikawa Europe GmbH (IEG), and Ichikawa China Co., Ltd. (ICC). Since its founding in 1984, INAC has supplied products such as papermaking felt and shoe press belts to the Americas, focusing on North America but also encompassing Central and South America. IEG was founded in October 2001 to expand sales in the European market; ICC was established in April 2005 to strengthen Group structures for orders receiving and provision of technical services in China. More than 20 distributors are currently developing sales of Ichikawa products worldwide, in regions including Europe and Southeast Asia.
We are pursuing a policy of global market expansion while maintaining
our reputation for quality and cost efficiency. We intend to continue
utilizing the current unique network established as well as seeking
out potential new locations and business worldwide wherever possible.
